New version of the Mycestro Control App

We’ve recently released Version 1.2 of the Control App. This new version automatically retrieves the firmware over the Internet and applies it to your Mycestro and dongle all in one step.

If you don’t yet have the Mycestro Control App and want it, you can order it in the Shop for free.

If you’ve already ordered the Control App, the new version is already available to you. Simply go to your Account and click on the appropriate “Available downloads” link and the new version should download automatically.

When updating your Mycestro with the Control App, don’t forget to plug your Mycestro into the computer running the Control App with the USB data cable that came in the white box!

Thank you to our pre-launch testers, who suggested this improvement to the Mycestro Control App!

Could there be a wake-up-button-push for mycestro, that lets you click one button to just wake the mycestro up?
When I start moving the mouse after not using mycestro for about 2-10 seconds, it does not respond immediate. This leads to first moving my hand a “quite long” distance for making it respond again.
But when I push the button it will always respond to the mouse click immediately. So an option for one buttonclick on one of the mouse buttons as wake up funktion would be pretty helpful (e.g. middle or right. not left )

Are you able to hook this up bluetooth with out the dongle?
I am glad I found this on ebay – really wish I backed it!!
    Great job!!
I will be doing a presentation with it this week :)

You need to have the Mycestro dongle plugged into the USB port of the device you want to control for the Mycestro to work with the device.

Should you be able to change the input mapping after the update? Mine says it is up to date however, my input mapping is still greyed out…

Hieu, we are currently working on input mapping. We will post in this blog when that feature is available!

Please can you provide a timeline for international backers. Even if you are not planning to ship soon have you at least research shipping costs and couriers?

Jonathan, we do have USPS selected as a courier. Our challenge is customs requirements, which we have to research on a country-by-country basis. Thank you for emailing us the UK requirements and website links!

This is a major improvement! Just updated both my windows and Mac and I can say this is much cleaner and works much better! Keep up the great work!
